I went to an advance screening last night of 'She's Out of My League' to be honest I haven't heard that much about it before I got my passes. I looked at the trailer and thought it looked funny. Well I was right baout that! At least I thought so. It is not a movie for everybody. It's more for people that like sex comedies. It kind of reminded me of American Pie in ways.
It's about Kirk (Jay Baruchel) who works airport security and dreams about becoming a pilot. Everybody has always called him a loser of a 5 on the point scale. It seems like even his family prefers his ex-girlfriend over him. That all seems to change when an attractive woman named Molly ( Alice Eve) comes through security and forgets her cell phone. She wants Kirk to keep it until she gets back into town. He agrees and meets her when she gets back to return the phone. Doing that she thanks him by giving him tickets to a hockey game that she ends up going to also. From there they start to go on a series of dates. Molly seems to really like him, but Kirk can not get over the fact that somebody like her can like somebody like him. It really starts to bother him and it seems to put their reltionship in jepordary.
This movie is somewhat predictable, but I liked all the characters and it kept me laughing though the whole thing which is good. My favorite parts seemed to be when Patty (Krysten Ritter) was on, she seemed to steal every scene that she was in. This is good to see if you just want a good laugh!
